2 days in Warsaw – SUMMER

What to do in Warsaw when you stay here for two days.
In the 1 day Warsaw guide I recommended more than 10 places to visit.
The guide is so reach and is good for very active people who like to walk.

Spend your weekend/two days visiting historic sights and top tourist attractions.
This is my list of things to do when you have 2 full days in Warsaw.

If you arrive on Saturday morning buy Weekend ticket entitles to unlimited number of journeys from 7:00 pm on Friday till 8:00 am on Monday. Price 24 zł or reduced 12 zł.

Day 1

Start your tour from breakfast at plac Zbawiciela or Nowy Świat.
Depending of what kind of atmosphere you like: hipster or touristy.

Go for a Free Walking tour:
* Old Town 10:30 am or 3:30 pm ( April – October), 10.30 am ( November – March),
* Jewish Warsaw 3:00 pm ( April – October), 2:00 pm ( November – March),

Then stroll around Krakowskie Przedmieście Street and Nowy Świat Street, on the way visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier located on Pilsudski Square.

Now surely you’re hungry. Stop by the milk bar “Familiny” on Nowy Świat street or the milk bar “Bambino” on the Krucza street. Than you can visit the oldest pastry shops in Warsaw “A.Blikle”, and try donuts there.

Visit one of the museums below:
* National Museum – every Tuesday free admission for the permanent exhibition,
* Museum of History of Polish Jews – every Thusday free admission,
Warsaw Uprising Museum – every Monday free admission.

Finish your day at a nice restaurant with Polish cuisine.

Day 2

Start your second day from breakfast at plac Zbawiciela.
After 
breakfast go for Chopin concert in the Łazienki Park.
The concerts take place at the Chopin Monument from mid-May to September.
Every Sunday at 12.00 and 4:00 pm. After concert go to The Royal Łazienki Park and visit Palace on the Island.

Visit one of the museums below:
* Wilanów Palace – every thursday admission is free,
* Royal Caste in Warsaw – every Wednesday admission is free,
* Museum of Frederic Chopin, every Wednesday admission is free,
* Zachęta National Art Gallery – every Thusday admission is free,

For a lunch go to Zapiecek is a traditional Polish dumpling & pancake dishes in a rustic cottage-style setting with uniformed staff.

 

If you are in Warsaw in the summer  you can enjoy roof tops with garden located:
in the Copernicus Science Centre or in the Warsaw University Library.
In the summer gardens open to 8 pm, admission free.

Now you are by the Wisła river.
Go to bars located by the river bank and enjoy the Warsaw nightlife.
The bars offers lots of entertainment starting from concerts, stand-ups and regular parties.
