Open-air Fan Zones in Warsaw for World Cup 2018.

On June 14 begins a great celebration of football fans – FIFA World Cup 2018. Bearing in mind the huge excitement of Warsaw during the Euro 2012 soccer championship, the capital will allow the people of common experience of struggle white and red fan zones in the district.

After 12 years of break, the Polish national team again joined the 32 best teams in the world. Polish team went to Group H, which is the only represent the Old Continent. The first meeting will play white and red with Senegal on Tuesday, June 19, at the stadium Otkrytiye Arena in Moscow. In consecutive games played, Adam Nawałki face of Colombia (June 24 in Kazan) and Japan (28 June in Volgograd).

Locations all Warsaw Fan Zones:

  • Bemowo – Amphitheater them. Michael Jackson Street. Raginisa,
  • Bielany – Bielański cheese (the area at the metro station Słodowiec)
  • Targówek – Bródnowski Park,
  • Prague-South – the Promenade Shopping Center,
  • Downtown – the Palace of Culture and Science (from the Al. Jerozolimskie)
  • Ursynow – Kopa Cwila,
  • Will – Sowinski Park Amphitheater / Moczydło Park.

In most zones Warsaw fans will be able to see not only all the group matches the red and white, but also the knockout phase. Detailed schedules of operation of individual fan zones will be given soon.

In addition to the thrill of the great struggles of the red and white, in all areas of the visiting locals and tourists will wait for additional attractions – games, contests with prizes, entertainment and all kinds of fun aimed at younger fans. For the hungry, not only football experience will also be prepared snack bars for snacks and drinks. 

Twenty FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia on June 14th – July 15th. This is the first World Cup tournament to be held in Eastern Europe. In the fight for the cup will face national teams of 32 countries. In total during the championship, the 12 stadiums in 11 cities, 64 matches will be played. The opening match will clash with Saudi Arabia, Russia, the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow.

This is the eighth appearance in the history of the red and white at the World Championships. So far, the Poles were the most successful in 1974 and 1982, placing third place. During the last performances in 2002 and 2006, our team left the field of battle after the group stage.
