One day in Warsaw

One day in Warsaw what to do
From my experience I know that you can’t understand history of Warsaw in one day, but how to schedule time to see the most interesting part of the town.

Buy a day pass for Warsaw transportation 15 zł (4 euro), it will significantly speed up the movement in the city, but if you go on „my tour” in the map below, you won’t need the ticket, unless you don’t like to walk.
You can also rent a  city bike Veturilo, but in the center of Warsaw, they are not always available.

Sightseeing by walk

Start by walking through the Old and New Town, in here for centuries was concentrated life of Warsaw. If you have time visit the Royal Castle, on Sundays admission is free.

Then stroll around Krakowskie Przedmieście Street and Nowy Świat Street, on the way visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier located on Pilsudski Square.

Now surely you’re hungry. Stop by the milk bar „Family” on Nowy Swiat street or the milk bar „Bambino” on Krucza street. Than you can visit the oldest pastry shop in Warsaw A.Blikle established in 1869 and try donuts there.
